SYNOPSIS. — II. Nostram naturam a Verbo in incarnatione esse susceptam, ut eam solveret in pretium. — III.
SYNOPSIS. — I. That the cross of Christ is for us both a sacrament and an example. — II. That our nature was taken up by the Word in the incarnation, so that He might pay it as a price. — III. That we, having died with Christ and been raised together with Him, are strengthened by Christ, Who remains with us on earth, and are invited to glory by Him reigning in heaven. — IV. That both the power and the example of the cross are present to us everywhere, so that we may be armed against desires. — V. That we must strive towards heavenly things through contempt of earthly ones, keeping faith in both natures in Christ. — VI. That through the passage of Christ, which is only in our nature, a passage to heavenly things is prepared for us. — VII. That the Eutychians, who deny our nature in Christ, have no share in the paschal feast.
